Video is probably the fastest growing online media these days, it tells stories faster than photos, keeps your clients engaged longer and is considered a very valuable factor in Google ranking.
For my short films I like to use a combination of cameras and angles, from aerial shots with the drone, to cinematic shots with the Lumix GH5, (gimbal shots, slider shots, panning shots) and GoPro action footage where appropriate. Using my knowledge as a photographer I aim to use the light creatively, capture interesting compositions and find that using music effectively combined with ambient sounds can create emotions and moods that photographs simply can’t touch.
My film work has taken me all over the world from The Maldives to The Maasai Mara, Kenya, I have filmed many commissions for local tourism companies (Visit North Norfolk), I was the official photographer/filmmaker for the UK’s first £19 million Sandscaping project. I have made films for quarry companies, farmers, estate agents, holiday lets, hotels, golf clubs, Google street view, the RNLI, The King’s Troop, The Household Cavalry, and much more.
My video work has been featured on BBC national news, ITN, Channel 4, Countryfile, Songs of Praise, The Politics Show, Britain’s Most Extreme Weather, The One Show and other news channels around the world.
Filming starts at £250+VAT p/h with options for half & full days. The fee includes supply of the unedited footage or for an hourly edit fee I can edit the footage into a fully-finished short film ready to embed into your website, including licensed soundtrack, titles, credits, subtitles, voice-over (if required) and effects.
For all of the recent films I have made please check out my Vimeo page. In the meantime below are some of my favourite recent short films, I don’t video weddings but if you have a commercial project you would like to discuss please drop me a line.
