Chris Taylor Photo Blog bio picture

Welcome...

...and congratulations on finding my blog! This is the place I like to show off my favourite images from recent shoots and share studio news. I think it gives a great flavour of the style of my work as it's updated on a regular basis and always bursting with fresh, new images!

I'm based in Norfolk and shoot contemporary weddings and family lifestyle portraiture all over Norfolk and East Anglia. I like to keep my work elegant and as natural as possible, with weddings I aim to tell the story of the day through a combination of candid, photojournalistic story-telling images and beautiful portraiture.

Anyway, that's enough waffle, have a look at some shots, just scroll down, I always love receiving comments so please let me know what you think using the blog comments function...

…another day in paradise!

Just thought I would share the below shot of tonight’s sunset at Sheringham, love the colours in that sky…

Helen & Dan - Blickling Hall photography - a pre-wedding shoot

Had a great time shooting Helen & Dan’s pre-wedding shoot at Blickling, a great day for it again, a few favourites below with link to full gallery at bottom of post….

Angie & Danny - a pre-wedding shoot at Blickling Hall

The first of two recent shoots at the beautiful National Trust managed Blickling Hall.  We had a great afternoon for it, I love the architecture at Blickling and the various shot opportunities it provides.  Getting a bit behind on processing so I’ll keep the waffle to a minimum, few of my favourites below with link to the full gallery at the bottom of this post.  Enjoy!

The full gallery of shots of Angie & Danny’s photography at Blickling Hall is here.

Kat & Paul - a Cambridgeshire wedding near St. Ive’s

Officially the hottest wedding of the year for me, Kat & Paul had a scorcher of a day, a thermos flask of Fanta with loads of ice has never been more welcome than it was that day!

We started off the day’s photography at Kat’s parent’s house - you’ll see below some shots of the amazing old veil that Kat wore - it was her great grandmother’s and I think we worked it out to be 121 years old (although that didn’t stop Kat climbing an oak tree while wearing it as you’ll see!)

Below, some great shadow patterns created by the antique veil…

Below, Kat’s grandmothers photographs the lads…

Love the play of light off these geraniums in the church

After the service everyone walked through the meadow to the marquee in the field next door, this would have been a completely different photo if it had been raining!

Can’t help feeling a bit bad about this photo but I couldn’t resist!  Sorry!

“Kat & Paul sitting in a tree k.i.s.s.i.n.g.”!   (remember that playground song?)

This is the first couple I have ever photographed in a tree and it’s not something I would have thought to do but Kat & Paul specifically requested this shot.  Different is good!

Nicola & Chris - a wedding at The Broad House Hotel, Wroxham

Another great wedding at the rapidly-becoming-legendary Broad House Hotel at Wroxham!  Nicola & Chris have asked that their shots are kept for their family & friends only so just one sneak preview here and the full gallery available by clicking here.  (The password is Nicola’s maiden name).
