Below are fifteen of my favourite wedding images from 2009, each is from a different wedding, it was a nightmare trying to pick just fifteen out of the 15,000 or so wedding images I shot last year so apologies if your wedding photo hasn’t made it here.
Please leave a vote for your favourite image out of these fifteen in the comments section of this blog post, the top three images with the most votes by January 29th will receive prizes!
1st prize is a print credit worth £50, second prize £30, third prize £20 - the print credits can be used to get free prints from your wedding or you can give them to friends to put towards their own wedding/portrait photos.

Magic mate, there’s something about No. 1 that keeps drawing me back but No. 11 and 15 are superb too. Hell they’re all awesome, it’s going to be interesting to see the results methinks.

All fantastic and different pictures Chris,i would have to say it was a difficult choice between 5 , 9 ,14, 15 but i will have to say number 15 stood out for me because of the sunset and the silhouettes.I think everyone loves a good sunset.I look forward to seeing the results and to seeing if anyone else agrees with my taste.
Superb of course but I’m drawn to No 12 personally. You may disagree but the bride is iconic to the wedding scene and you’ve just caught everything in that shot. But I agree with Simon - they’re all awesome!
No 1 gets my vote but I do so love No 15 as well!! No 1 was in Sweden or Finland wasn’t it? The photos of it were gorgeous.. particularly No 1.
It has to be no 14 for me, it’s the idea of them coming up different paths but ending up together strikes me. Not sure if that was the intention but it is beautiful.

number 14 is my favourite, two roads meeting at one point etc etc, number one is great but as this is for best wedding picture i’d have to say nuber 14 is more of a wedding shot than picture one, cheers jason

My vote is for image 7 - although I love the others too, this is the one that confirmed to me that you were the perfect wedding photographer for us - being able to take such beautiful posed shots as well as the gorgeous natural ones. I remember thinking, when it first went on your blog, that this is such a beautiful composition with such great use of light and the bride looks so elegant and timeless. For the same reasons I also love image 13, the light and dark contrast on that one is amazing. I know I’ve said it before but you really are very talented!
Number 3’s my favourite - great light and really captures a sense of anticipation and reverence. However, they’re all great!
Hi chris, not sure if I can vote for myself!! but I do love our photo no.15 it brings back very happy memories! and I do love a good sunset in Sheringham - however if I can’t vote for no 15 then I also love the veil shot of no 4.

my next faves are #4 and #15.

No 14 This is an Artist’s shot!! It is also a fantastic shot of the Cloisters with the sun behind the couple, the blue coolness of the floor,and the golden ceiling above! and it is almost as if the couple having walked a different path before meeting are holding hands as the they are casting a thought back to their past before moving into their future. This is an Wonderful shot!
My 2nd choice would be no.1 The greenery out of focus accentuates the pensive Bride, clever lighting of her face!
I love the arch and the hint of depth behind her and her reflection in the oval table. So glad you did not put her in the centre of the picture!
15 will atract but it is just another wonderful Norfolk Sunset albeit in an extremely attactive setting!

What a fantastic photo archive, some really inspiring perspectives capturing the essence behind a truely momentous occasion. Each photo has individual aspects which are fantastic, however number 4’s purity and emotion captured through the movement of the veil and the brides open arms has to be the winner for me!
image number 8, my handsome son and his beautiful wife, so photogenic and you have captured a perfect moment shared between them in a stunning picture. Although all of your photos are amazing and I don’t envy you having to choose only 15 from 2009.
