In keeping with the weather, the news and probably every single conversation in Britain at the moment here’s some photos of the snow! We haven’t had much here at the coast and when we do it melts pretty quickly thanks to the pesky sea air so you have to be quick to get any shots of it. I took a wander along the sea front and cliffs this morning, a couple of times the sun poked through the clouds and gave us some lovely golden light….

Terrific shots of a place we love… Nice work Chris!
These pictures are interesting because you have tried to make them look like watercolours. That makes me sad as I am a watercolourist luckly I do not paint the sort of pictures you have taken.
Thanks Ian.
Ken - thank you for your comments although I should point out that I haven’t ‘tried’ to make them look like water colours.
Through the use of photographic filters in original capture and careful post-processing to bring out the colours and contrast of the scenes they may start to look like watercolours as the resulting shots display a greater dynamic range than is usually seen on a landscape photo.
Sorry for ‘making you sad’, I’m not trying to pass them off as watercolours, honest! Thanks, Chris.
Really, really nice mate.

Hi Chris
Cant really understand the above comment? don’t really think they fully understand and appreciate good photography!
I only wish I could take photo’s as good as these, and I hope to learn more from your photo’s in the future.
Have you considered teaching courses for novices like myself?
Regards
Eddie
Thank you for your comments Eddie.
I have wondered abouot maybe doing some photography courses locally for people interested in getting the most out of their digitalcamera maybe some stuff on post-processing too, it’s just a case of finding the time to put together some sort of structure to it. If I ever do get round to it I will definitely be putting something on the blog so watch this space! Thanks again, Chris.
these photo’s are all very good but the two i like best is image 14 / 15
image 8 gets my vote true love is there to see in a single photo
Image 4 the best!

Hi Chris…
I have discovered this great website which combines a blend of google earth along with a mix of amateur, semi-profession & professional photographs taken worldwide. The photos are positioned on the map like pins but they appear as photos (allbeit tiny ones if you are zoomed right out).
I have found it a great way to look at different destinations around the world and decide if they look like the kind of places I’d like to visit as well as destinations closer to home & around Norfolk to see what photos people have posted for places I recognise.
I thought this site might interest you (if you aren’t aware of it already) and… given your talent & passion for photography… I thought I would share my find. It’s free to join and share your snaps. I know you have plenty on your hands, but I just thought if nothing else, it might be good for an additional bit of free PR for you????
Anyway, perhaps you will have a browse and let me know what you think?
Here’s the address it’s: http://www.panoramio.com
ENJOY!!
Kind regards,
Vicky
