Nicola & Chris - a wedding at The Broad House Hotel, Wroxham

Another great wedding at the rapidly-becoming-legendary Broad House Hotel at Wroxham!  Nicola & Chris have asked that their shots are kept for their family & friends only so just one sneak preview here and the full gallery available by clicking here.  (The password is Nicola’s maiden name).

Lisa & Paul - a wedding at Elms Barn

Firstly apologies for the delay in getting these shots online, I’ve got a bit of a backlog at the moment for a number of reasons (partly due to the time of year - being peak season etc), but I’m getting through it.

Lisa & Paul had a cracking day for their wedding - the photos started with some bridal preparation shots at Lisa’s parents’ place before heading down the road to the church at Somerleyton.  After a few quick group shots we headed to Elms Barn (stopping off in Somerleyton village for some shots around the village post office).

A perfect evening at the beach…

If you’re friends with me on Facebook you may have already seen these shots as I posted them there a couple of days ago but thought I would share some here on my blog (plus they are much bigger & higher quality images on here than the little compressed shots on the FB galleries).

Below are a few of my favourites from a great evening at the beach last week with my children Charlie & Will…

If you are a regular visitor to my blog why not request me on Facebook, the more friends the merrier!

Love is a temporary madness…

It’s been a while since I read Captain Corelli’s Mandolin so I had forgotten the below extract which Paul & Kat (of yesterday’s wedding) had printed on the back of their order of service.  I thought I would share it here as it’s a lovely piece of prose and would make a great reading at a wedding…

Love is a temporary madness, it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your root was so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part.  Because this is what love is.

Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion.  That is just being in love, which any fool can do.

Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.
