The Albumator continues…

Have just finished designing Lyndsey & Dan’s album and it’s looking great!   These things take some time to get right, hopefully I will be able to get Keith & Sarah’s done also today, onwards & upwards!

Album designs R Us!

It’s been a manic (and enjoyable) summer but it has meant that I’ve been getting quite behind on album design, now that the wedding season is drawing to a close I’m getting a chance to catch up.  Thank you to all of this year’s couples who have been very patiently waiting for me to do their designs.

Today I have completed the initial design for Adam & Kirsty’s album (title page shown below) and tomorrow’s mission is to get Lyndsey & Dan and Sarah & Keith’s album designs done and out to them.   Hopefully I’ll be able to update here tomorrow with two more title pages and can crack on and get some more done on Thursday….

Tom & Sarah - a wedding at Caistor Hall, Norwich.

The penultimate wedding of the season for me and it was a pleasure to photograph Tom & Sarah’s wedding - I’ve known them for many years as friends of my brother Andy who was actually bestman, my sister-in-law (Andy’s wife) May was a bridesmaid and their son Zach was a pageboy!

Below right, each of the bridesmaids had a different colour themed outfit and matching flowers, they looked great!

Below, Sarah’s bridesmaids performed their duties very well, they were probably the most attentive bridesmaids I’ve seen this year.  In fact we were lucky enough to have a floral expert on hand to advise the girls how best to hold their bouquets - bridesmaid Georgie - the wedding flowers specialist working for one of Norfolk’s finest and most popular florists Libby Ferris.  Georgie actually created all of the floral designs for Tom & Sarah’s wedding, a talented lady!

Below, May and Zach lead the way as the wedding party enters the ceremony room at Caistor Hall.

Phil, Giles & Guy enjoy a cold pint in the sun…

….while (below) these chaps found a comfortable seat in the cool inside.    I must be getting old as I really like the look of these chairs!

Below, meanwhile outside we recreated the ‘Ascent of Man’ diagram using Andy as the monkey at one end all the way to Tom at the other end,  the height of evolution and sophistication!

Below, a slightly more dignified shot of the lads!

Below, usher Phil ‘Scorsese’ Bond videoing the speeches…

Below, as part of Andy’s bestman speech he presented Tom with this fetching garment complete with a squirrel stitched to it.   I think the squirrel was a reference to Tom’s Stag Do - they went paintballing and made him wear squirrel ears and a huge fluffy tail!  I think that’s what the squirrel’s there for, either that or he’s there to protect his nuts.  (Sorry that was lame).

Below, Zach was really well behaved all day and even managed to keep Gramp entertained for a couple of hours in the evening.

Fashion show at Voewood in aid of Sheringham Christmas lights

A fashion show to help raise funds for Sheringham’s Christmas lights was held at Voewood last week, there was a superb turn out with many local shops having stands, food and drinks were kindly provided by Graham and his team at the Lobster Inn and also by the Bakehouse in Sheringham.

Below, Housewive’s Choice™ Andy Gleave was a firm favourite with the almost exclusively female audience at Voewood, I haven’t seen him since but I presume he got out alive?

Below, a couple of Andy’s team mates from Sheringham FC were roped in kindly volunteered to model some of the outfits on the night too and got right into the swing of things, well done lads!

Karen & Clint - Churchman house and a reception at The Feathers in Holt

Clint is a very keen photographer himself so it was a real honour when Karen and Clint asked if I would photograph their wedding.

We started off at Churchman House in Norwich, then stopped off at the beautiful village of Heydon on the way through to Holt where they had their reception.

Below, Karen does her best Frankie Howerd impression (actually this is my fault I asked bridesmaid Alice to do something to get a reaction although this wasn’t the reaction I expected!)

Below, Clint and Karen see each other for the first time (that day).

Below, when we got to Heydon there were some ramblers for the North Norfolk Railway 40’s weekend having a break in full 40’s gear complete with these great deckchairs so we asked if they wouldn’t mind us getting a shot!
