Funky video of Sarah & Dan’s shoot…

I’m just playing about with some new software which lets me create little music videos to show off latest shots.  This is one using some shots from Sarah & Dan’s pre-wedding shoot - it’s fairly low resolution to allow quick loading so doesn’t look massively sharp (don’t even bother trying it at full screen) but I’m pretty pleased with the results so far.

It’s probably not something your grandmother would like (unless she’s also a fan of MTV) but I think it’s very cool!

Pre-wedding shoot at Winterton…

I spent way too long photographing Sarah & Dan at the weekend, it was the longest pre-wedding shoot I’ve done but with subjects this photogenic and such great light & backdrops as found in their house and on Winterton I couldn’t resist.  It did also help that Sarah & Dan were really enjoying it (either that or they are very good at acting)!

We started off doing some shots in & about the house, making sure to get plenty of their three cats, if I could remember their names I’d write them here but they weren’t exactly the usual cat names so have slipped my mind!

After the shots in the house we then headed off to Winterton beach for some shots in what promised to be a perfect sunset, until a THICK sea mist blew in and shrouded us in whiteness.

For the full gallery of shots from Sarah & Dan’s shoot at Winterton click here - unfortunately owing to something  that Dan did at one point in the shoot (involving running towards the sea leaving a pile of clothes on the sand) I have had to password protect the gallery (unless Sarah decides to allow the world to see Dan’s butt in which case I can remove the password but I don’t think it’s very likely, sorry ladies!).  If you are a guest at their wedding you will find the picture appearing at some point!

Rachel & Ben’s London wedding…

Just to prove I am actually capable of leaving Norfolk I photographed Rachel & Ben’s wedding in London last weekend. They kindly put me up the night before in a great B&B in Streatham - 52 Becmead Av - I highly recommend it, it’s a beautiful house and Katherine cooks a great English breakfast!

The girls had their hair and make-up done at Becmead Avenue which was handy - I didn’t have far to go from the breakfast table for the first shots of the day!

It was then a battle through the London traffic to St. Mark’s church on Battersea Rise for a really lovely service, very personal and truly heartfelt.  After the service the champagne and canapes were served in the church hall next door and then on to Bourne Hall for the reception.

Enough waffle, here’s some photos….

Rachel’s mum admires the curlers!

I always ask if the bride has had a text from her groom to be form the previous night, sometimes they are suitable for photographing, sometimes not (!) but I have to say this is one of the best I’ve seen yet.

Before the service Ben checks the marriage certificate with the vicar Paul.

Here comes the bride…

If you have to drive through London why not do it in style…

Lucy & Steve tie the knot…

Lucy & Steve were married at Weston Park, I really enjoy working at this venue, they have some lovely grounds, a nice bright ceremony room and the staff are always really friendly and helpful.

Beautiful flowers were supplied by Funky Fresh Flowers and Weston Park’s favourite DJ’s Elevation Entertainment provided the music for the evening celebrations.

Below, something old….

The Warburtons at the beach…

Off to Cromer beach yesterday for a shoot with the Warburton family, considering it was a bank holiday the beach wasn’t too crowded, although I guess it’s a little early for a dip in the sea!

The boys seemed to enjoy themselves, Jack was definitely more into the photos than Oscar who would have been more happy chucking rocks all day (can’t say I blame him!).  We took a wander along the beach, stopped for some shots under the pier and then headed for the fishing boats where Oscar decided to get up close & personal with the dead fish the fishermen had put aside for crab bait.  Boys will be boys!
