A couple of days ago I took The Boy (William) for a walk along the cliffs and back along the beach, of course I had my camera and playing with a fairly new lens took the below shots. They are bit different from the usual images I post here but I quite like the various textures brought out by the black & white processing.
I was recently asked by a couple of lads on the lifeboat crew if I could do some promotional shots for something they have planned for 2009 - there are going to be cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End in aid of the RNLI and First Responders - both lads, Adam and Kevin, are crew members of the RNLI and First Responders hence the name ‘In The Same Boat’.
We did a series of shots showing them in the various guises of lifeboat crew, first responders and with their bikes. You wouldn’t catch me wearing a lycra outfit on a cold morning like that. It’s pretty revealing at the best of times - hence the careful placement of the handle bars in these shots!!
For the First Responder shot we roped my trusty assistant for the morning into lying down on the path while Adam and Kev worked their magic, unfortunately for our ‘casualty’ there was a large present from a local dog only inches from his head (just out of shot) so we made it a very quick photo! Aah the glamour of being a model.
The lads are arranging a promotional website and possibly a blog which will allow anyone to follow their progress from training right through to the cycle ride itself, I will update this blog with a link once they have something sorted.
