Caroline & Gary tie the knot…

Autumn is certainly setting in and Caroline & Gary’s wedding at Weston Park was a great setting with all of the leaves turning red, yellows and golden browns.

Below, these chicken satay kebabs were the starter for the meal, Caroline and Gary were kind enough to lay on the full three courses for me and I can tell you these were every bit as good as they looked, superb!

For the full gallery of shots click here although Caroline and Gary have asked that I password protect the site until they’ve had a chance to look at their photos first so you if you were a guest at the wedding you’ll need to contact Mr & Mrs Poulter first to get the password.

…this little piggy…

I had to take a photo of this on Saturday morning before I headed out to a wedding - my 5 year old daughter Charlotte came through to show me what she had quietly been doing for the last ten minutes - you always know when she’s up to something creative as the relentless chatter stops briefly!

She’s a lot more creative than I ever was, might have a good little trainee photographer in a few years time!

The snapper gets snapped…

A mate of mine came along last Sunday morning to get some shots of us on our weekly lifeboat exercise and got this cracking shot. I’ve posted it here as it’s very uncommon for me to actually be in any of the lifeboat shots as I’m always the one behind the camera. That’s me on the right!

Neil is Kent-based and has some lovely landscape work, click here to see his stuff. Thanks Neil!

Katy & Richard tie the knot…

Back over to Beccles-land at the weekend for Katy and Richard’s wedding at Henstead Church before heading on to Elms Barn for their reception.

It was a Norfolk/Scotland wedding with a piper playing outside the church and lots of kilts, everyone looked great.

Once everyone was seated back at Elms Barn they conducted the Quaich ceremony where a large two handled silver bowl has a liberal pouring of whisky and is then drunk from by the father of the groom, the father of the bride and the piper then taking his fill. Great to see such a tradition, and the whisky vapours coming from the Quaich were lovely!

Landscape panoramic - Blakeney wreck

While I’m posting all these landscape shots I may as well include the shot we originally headed over to Blakeney for, it’s certainly not as good as it could have been due to the big bank of cloud which came over and obliterated the sunset but I still think it captures the mood of the saltmarsh of that evening.
