Helen & Michael tie the knot…

Michael & Helen had a great day for their wedding, one of the few dry days of the last few months, not only that but the sun actually came out too! They held their ceremony at the Assembly Rooms in Norwich and then headed round the corner to Mackintosh’s Canteen, the food looked superb.

Below, Helen misinterprets my instructions to wrap your arms around Michael and actually goes for the stranglehold. Aaah, married bliss already!

Below, just an example of the superb food available at Mackintosh’s Canteen.

Nathalie and Oliver tie the knot…

Nathalie and Ollie had an amazing wedding in so many ways - the service was an outdoor one at the temple at Holkham Hall, luckily the weather was just perfect so everyone was able to sit in the open air. They were whisked away in a friend’s Ford Mustang with the roof down to their reception venue - Nathalie’s family home at Brancaster with absolutely stunning views across Brancaster salt marsh.

After a champagne and canape reception they were then served a wonderful meal, (thanks guys, the lamb was awesome), and the evening entertainment was none other than sixties soul legend Geno Washington and the Ram Jam band and they sounded amazing!

Below, the view from the rear of the house, not bad eh?

Below, guests reflected in the wing mirror of the Mustang.

As Nathalie and Oliver prepare to leave the Secret Service guys kept the crowds from mobbing them.

Below, a perfect evening for a back garden wedding reception, Brancaster Staithe in the background.

Below, probably the most glamorous sausages in a basket the world has seen.

Below, all 160 place settings were marked with the guests name in Scrabble letters, I probably wouldn’t advise attempting this unless you are a current/previous managing director of Spears games, it could get quite expensive!

Below, looking back at the house with the wedding guests in the garden enjoying champagne in this glorious Norfolk evening. I did get a few funny comments as I wandered off across the marsh!

Below, you can’t beat a good long veil for a beautiful photograph!

Below, there were six speeches in all, everyone of them very funny and entertaining.

Below, wouldn’t you love to know what they are saying!

Below, on to the first dance…

Below, Geno does his thang.

Heidi & Dan tie the knot…

I didn’t have far to travel on Saturday with Heidi & Dan’s wedding being only three miles down the road from me at the Links Hotel, West Runton.

We’d had a great pre-wedding shoot on Holkham beach a few weeks ago so I was really looking forward to shooting their wedding and I wasn’t disappointed, it was an honour to be a part of their big day, an emotional day by all accounts as Dan had the entire room reaching for their hankies as he struggled through his wedding vows and once again during his speech! It made the day all the more special.

Below, Dan had this very cool wedding cake knife commissioned and surprised Heidi on the day, it was by hairygrowler.co.uk - really beautiful work.   It must have taken ages to do but what a great memento.  He also does loads of different jewellery from recycled metals/cutlery, etc and some very cool christening spoons in a similar style to the cake knife below.

Below, #2 in my series of upside down children!

Below, you can’t wear shoes like this and not expect a special photo!

Cat & Dan tie the knot…

Cat and Dan were married at St. Michael’s church in Aylsham on Saturday, they had a great day for it - probably the most sunny wedding I’ve photographed this year but then that title hasn’t been too hotly challenged this year!

Unusually they had two ‘usherettes’ to assist the ushers, sadly they didn’t appear with trays of ice creams at the interval in the service but they did a fine job of welcoming the guests.

Below, Cat anxiously waits at the door of the church for the signal to go in.

Great church to shoot in, lovely and light.

Below, this was the best confetti shower I have seen in a long time, I didn’t realise it when we set it up there but there was a swirling updraft at the exact point we did the confetti shot so as everyone threw their confetti it all went swirling up in the air, usually it blows away in the click of a shutter!

Below, Cat & Dan had these brilliant 3d caricatures done for the top of their cake, (if they let me know the website they got them from I’ll add the link).

Below, there are actually five people in this photo, see if you can find the other four…

Catherine & Sam tie the knot…

Back to Dunston Hall for Catherine & Sam’s wedding on Friday, everyone was in great spirits with the South African contingent providing lots of laughs!

Below, Emily was a little nervous of the strange man with the camera at first, sensible girl!

Below, Phoebe had a thing for handbags, she could probably have actually crawled into this one.

Below, Cath’s brothers welcome Sam to the family with a little ‘pep talk’!

Below, this is the reaction you get when you call a group of probation officers “prison officers”, they don’t like it much!

Anyone for bubbly?

Below, the magician was brilliant, he did some amazing tricks, I’ve no idea how they were done but everyone was talking about him!  Absolute genius.   See his website here…www.fingertipmiracles.co.uk

What a beauty!

Below, Dapper Sam.

Below, that is one cheesy wedding cake, love it!
