Pre-wedding shoot - Max & Joce at Holkham

A cracking evening at Holkham beach yesterday with Max and Joce for their pre-wedding shoot. Having been grey all day it was a real bonus to get such a warm, still evening on the beach as there’s not much cover when it’s windy!

North Norfolk lifestyle shoot - Daniella & Ali

It was a lovely evening down on Sheringham cliffs and beach yesterday evening for a North Norfolk lifestyle portrait shoot with Daniella and her mum Ali. The shoot was booked by Daniella as a birthday present for her mum, great idea!

We had good light to work with and got some great shots…

Jess & Jon tie the knot

Jess and Jon had a drizzly sort of a day for their wedding at Stower Grange but everyone was in high spirits including some very lively page boys!

Below Jon has his buttonhole attached.

There was some discussion on the day which way up the buttonholes should be worn, I’ve since done some research online and found that the custom of wearing them upside down was an Edwardian fashion, done because they believed it would keep the flowers alive longer.  I guess it’s all down to personal choice, as long as men wear them on their left and ladies wear them on the right then it doesn’t really matter which way up the flowers are worn although it does look a bit odd to me to see them upside down!

Jess arrives…

It was an emotional service.

(Below) They say you know you’re getting old when policemen start to look young?  Well I’m only 36 or was that 63.  Nurse!

The Thomas family on Wells beach

Had a fun shoot with the Thomas family on Wells beach on Tuesday evening, the weather was perfect and the boys Louie and Harvey were bundles of energy so lots of jumping around and plenty of sand flying!

We’ll start of below with a ‘formal’ family shot - as formal as you can have on a sandy beach with bare feet!

Louie was fearless when it came to dune jumping (…and on the rope swing and tree climbing and pretty much everything, in fact Louie was just fearless!)

Harvey is laughing here because he got to sit behind his little brother and pinch him, which brought a squeal every time he did it.

Boys will be boys…and I make sure I encourage it!

This was exactly 0.325 seconds before myself and both cameras were completely covered in sand. All part of the hazards of photographing on a sandy beach I guess!
