…another day in paradise!

Just thought I would share the below shot of tonight’s sunset at Sheringham, love the colours in that sky…

…the snow must go on

In keeping with the weather, the news and probably every single conversation in Britain at the moment here’s some photos of the snow!  We haven’t had much here at the coast and when we do it melts pretty quickly thanks to the pesky sea air so you have to be quick to get any shots of it.  I took a wander along the sea front and cliffs this morning, a couple of times the sun poked through the clouds and gave us some lovely golden light….

Felbrigg Hall in Winter

Despite missing most of the snow so far I managed to get a few wintery shots recently on a wander round the lake at Felbrigg.

A hungry young swan followed me round the edge of the lake, unfortunately I only had an apple in my pocket and discovered that swans don’t really like bitten off chunks of apple no matter how hungry they are!  I did however take advantage of it’s proximity and got a shot of the ice & snow settling on it’s back, I think it makes an interesting pattern.  Also below are some leaves in suspended animation in a frozen puddle.  Not the most exciting shots in the world but I had to justify the walk somehow!

Gale Force 8 - rough sea photos at Cromer

On the way home from my studio on Friday I thought I would stop off at Cromer seafront to check out the waves after hearing a Gale Force 8 warning by Yarmouth Coastguard on the VHF Inshore shipping forecast.

The seas were huge, at one point I walked out along Cromer pier and the spray from the waves was coming through the boardwalk of the pier.  Below are a few of my favourites…
