The Johnson family - a Norfolk lifestyle shoot

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing eight of the nicest children I’ve met last week.  I was commissioned to photograph the Johnson family as they were staying in Norfolk for a birthday get-together.

The whole shoot was loads of fun, good weather, lovely company and great venue but what really stood out for me was how happy, polite, well behaved and confident all eight of the children were, a real credit to their parents!

Sarah & Dan one year on…

On the 25th May 2009 I was lucky enough to photograph the wedding of Sarah & Dan Hurren at the stunning Broad House Hotel in Wroxham.  One year on and they have a beautiful little girl - Rose, so Sarah’s Mum Sandi decided to surprise Sarah on her 30th birthday with a family photo shoot.

Below are some of the shots we got that morning…

Family lifestyle portraiture on the North Norfolk Coast

Spent an enjoyable morning yesterday on Wells beach with the Alexander family and their pooch Molly.  The Alexanders have been coming to North Norfolk for their holidays for many years so it makes sense that they had a portrait shoot in North Norfolk encompassing some of the views and environment they (quite rightly) love so much!

Tallulah - rockin’ the studio!

I don’t do a huge amount of studio portraiture as I generally prefer to photograph people in their homes or out on location but if someone specifically asks to have studio shots then I’m more than happy to oblige and with Tallulah I’m glad we did, it was great fun!

We started out with the white backdrop style commonly known as High Key and then moved onto the complete opposite and did some black backdrop, guess what that’s called…..Low Key.  Or at least that’s how I understand it, I’ll probably get some emails from photographers correcting me but for now I’m sticking to those names!

Tallulah had a great time, she was a perfect little model, loads of smiles and even when she wasn’t smiling the shots look lovely, she has some great expressions!  I won’t post too many here as I believe these are to be Christmas present for Tallulah’s daddy and it would be shame to spoil all of the surprises.

Below, Tallulah hugs her soon-to-be baby brother…

Below, we finished up with the black backdrop, I love Tallulah’s expression in the one on the left, the sugar-high is starting to run out and she’s just about had enough of this photography lark but as you can see on the right she still had a few good giggles in reserve!
